A Custom Kitchen, Built in Foshan, Fitted in Spain

Our client had lived with her Spanish kitchen for a year and wanted it gone — replaced with cabinetry built the way she cooks, around a Chinese range hood and a proper wok burner. Local trades couldn't deliver it, and the language barrier made every conversation a project of its own.

Ratahome designed the kitchen remotely: measurements confirmed over video, drawings revised until every dimension was signed off. The cabinets were then built in Foshan and packed into a maritime-grade plywood crate — 650 kg, 3.1 m³ — with packing included, not billed as an extra.

We managed the shipping door to door, from domestic haulage to the port of Valencia. On site, our crew tore out the old kitchen in a day, preserved the existing wall tiles where they were sound, and patched the few that came loose — saving a full re-tile and weeks of downtime.

Then came the fit-out: cabinets levelled against old walls, hood ducted, burner in place — problems solved as they surfaced, in the client's own language. The kitchen she couldn't buy in Spain now lives in her Spanish home.
